Meet James Earley, a Sales Account Manager at CMR Insurance Services, where he first started his career. After gaining experience elsewhere for a while, James returned ‘home’ to CMR about 10 years ago. We caught up with him to find out more. Over to you James…
Tell us a bit about yourself…
I have been in credit insurance now for over 30 years and like most people in this line of business I basically fell into it. I had never heard of credit insurance before! I started with CMR but moved on to roles in underwriting and then into broking, before returning ‘home’ to CMR about 10 years ago.
What do you do in your role?
My role within CMR now is mainly to look after a portfolio of clients, direct and brokered, dealing with their renewals and day to day policy.
Best thing about being part of PIB?
CMR has been part of PIB Group for over two years now. I think the best thing of being a part of PIB is the strength and opportunity that we have as part of a large and growing group.
What does collaboration mean to you?
Collaboration is working together for everyone’s benefit, but especially the clients who then see the value in choosing PIB as their insurance partners.
Best careers advice you’ve been given or would give?
Do something you enjoy!
Biggest achievement (professionally or personally)
My biggest achievement was probably having a solo exhibition of work which was held in Chelsea some years ago – I am interested in photography and art and reworked a collection of WW1 images. It’s something I would like to do again in the future.
How do you relax outside of work – any interesting hobbies or talents?
Relaxation includes photography and art, listening to music (live music especially), supporting Harlequins and enjoying an evening in the pub with friends.
